I have been pursuing being a successful artist my whole life. As a kid, I was always sketching on anything I could find and sharing my work with whoever would take the time to look. I had good teachers in school and I got my degree as an art major in art education. At the time, I struggled with choosing either being a full time artist or teaching art. I got some good advice from a local artist that suggested that I consider teaching art and spending my summers creating my own art. That advice has served me well now in retirement after 35 years of both teaching art and building an art business. I now get to enjoy my other option of being a full time artist in my home studio. I’ve always believed I was quite creative in the fine arts and I enjoy drawing cartoons so, using the name CreativeCartooning to represent all of my artworks to people just works for me.
